A deep blue form settles at the center, surrounded by successive translucent layers that fade softly into pale aqua and light misty tones. The gentle gradient suggests depth and quiet movement, like looking into calm water where color slowly dissolves toward the surface. Subtle concentric traces remain visible within the pigment, hinting at a soft internal rhythm. Beneath the glossy epoxy finish, light travels through the layers, revealing delicate shifts of tone as the viewer moves around the work. The composition evokes serenity and immersion — a tranquil space where color, light and transparency quietly unfold.

Description

The UnderWater collection explores the sensation of looking into the ocean from within. Colors appear as layered fields that overlap, dissolve and re-emerge, creating depth, transparency and quiet transitions beneath the surface.

At the heart of each UnderWater piece is a calm sea made of transparent epoxy resin — perfectly smooth, luminous, and with a subtle mirror-like reflection that transforms the surface into water. The resin slowly cures through a chemical reaction over time, which means each UnderWater typically takes at least two to three weeks to complete.

Each artwork is created through multiple layers of pigmented epoxy resin poured over wood. As the resin slowly cures, the colors interact and form gradients, soft boundaries and subtle variations that change depending on light and perspective.

Many collectors also choose to commission their own UnderWater piece. In fact, more than half of the works I create today are commission works, allowing the size, palette and composition to adapt naturally to a particular space, vision or budget.

The result is a contemporary abstract artwork where color, depth and light remain in constant dialogue with the viewer.

Each artwork is an original piece, numbered and signed on the back with its own unique identification code. All pieces come ready to hang. If requested, a digital certificate of authenticity can also be provided in PDF format, via email.
